Who Are the Jews?

One of the huge mistakes found in mainstream Christianity today is their misidentification of the Covenant people. It's past time to dispel the myth that the genetic line of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are found in the non-semitic, Ashkenazi Jews today.

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob Were Not Jews

You will not find anywhere in the Bible that these Hebrew patriarchs were ever called "Jews". Of course, the antidiluvian progenitors Adam, Seth and Noah were not called "Jews". Why, then, do today's Christian leaders tell us that all these Covenant people of the Old Testament were Jews? It is based on the biblically and historically unsupportable idea that the words "Israelite" and "Jew" are interchangeable, and that Christianity is derived from Judaism.

Jewish Scholars agree on this. The following is an excerpt from the groundbreaking from God's Covenant People: Yesterday, Today and Forever:

So, we find that non-Israelite peoples were called "Jews", and that today's Jews are not "Hebrew", and that the words "Israelite" and "Jew" are not interchangeable! How can this be?

Origin of the term "Jew"

According to the ancient Jewish historian Josephus, the term "Jew" was coined by the Babylonians in referencing the people brought into captivity from the region of Judea in the 6th century BC. The vast majority of Israelites had long since been dispursed throughout the civilized world by then, and were never called "Jews."

A "Jew" can be an Israelite, but an Israelite may or may not have been a "Jew". For example, an American may not be a Texan, but a Texan is an American. Another example: just because a poodle is a dog, doesn't make all dogs poodles!

Jacob's name was changed to "Israel" (Genesis 32:28) and was the first Israelite. One of his grandsons was named Judah - from which the region was named centuries later! So, Abraham was a Hebrew (descended from Shem, hailing from the Sumerian city of Ur.) Isaac was a Hebrew also. Jacob was the first Israelite. The word "Jew" doesn't even appear in our Bible until much later (2 Kings - AFTER the split between the two houses of Israel.)

Why Does it Matter?

The prophets of Israel promised that there restoration of the two houses of Israel (the northern House of Israel and the House of Judah or the "Jews"). The prophet Ezekiel referred to this restoration in his "two stick" prophecy (Ezekiel 37.) Jeremiah, a prophet to the disbursed House of Israel, promised the restoration of all the Israelites from both houses at the time of the establishment of the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-32).

We find in Revelation that there is a problem with the Jews in prophecy:

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich ) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not , but are the synagogue of Satan. (Revelation 2:9)

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not , but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. (Revelation 3:9)

There was a misidentification problem in the first century (as evidenced by King Herod, who called himself a Jew, but was not) and today, with a non-semitic people calling themselves "Jews" but are not.

There are no more Jews. In fact, Israel compositely was to be known by "another name" and their old name left as a curse (Isaiah 65:15) We find today only one people who are characterized by their relationship to the One True God: Yahweh. There is only one people that meets all the biblical and historical qualifications as the Covenant people. These people are not today's "Jews", but a remnant found within the Anglo/Saxon, Celtic, Germanic, Scandinavian and kindred peoples. The true semitic peoples of the Bible are not today's "Jews" but the very people who have become many nations, blessed the peoples of the earth, and spread the gospel of Christ in fulfilment of prophecy.

It is therefore indisputable that the identification of these people are very, very important indeed.

...O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen ... thou art my servant: I have formed thee.... O Israel , thou shalt not be forgotten of me . (Isaiah 44:1-21)

Today, the Covenant people have only recently forgotten who they are, and where they came from. Daniel Webster, Thomas Jefferson, and many, many more of the figures in our past knew this. History and archaelogy proves it.

Mainstream "Judeo-Christianity" is daily stripping the effectiveness of the Covenant people in establishing the Kingdom today as they bend their knees to today's Jews.

What, Then, is Judaism?

The term "Judaism" did not appear until the 15th century. The faith of the biblical patriarchs was not "Judaism" but the Hebrew faith. Today's Judaism is more closely aligned with first-century Pharisaism (though it is considered "anti-semitic" to appeal to this demonstrable fact). Mainstream Christian leaders are misleading the flock with their claims that we "owe the Jews a great debt."

It was the first-century Jews that played the harlot (Jer 3:1, Isaiah 1:21, Rev 17:5), persecuted the saints, and put our Savior to death. Their "holy book" today is not our Bible, but the Talmud. The old temple in Jerusalem was to be destroyed - not to become the target of a future millineal reign. The prophets did not lie: the old temple was burned by fire, and not one stone was left unturned (Matthew 24:4).

Judaism is antagonistic to Christianity. Thus Judaism and the Zionist-inspired "Judeo-Christianity" are perverted, antichrist belief systems steeped in Babylon. In the first century, the Holy City became Babylon at the hands of the corrupt Pharisaical leaders. Today, Babylon is found wherever the same belief system is found. Today's Babylonian Talmud - the dominant Talmud of today's Jews - stands now as evidence that Babylon is alive and well, and is in opposition to His Kingdom. We do not serve our Master well when we align ourselves with the very system that our Savior Himself railed against:

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you [scribes and Pharisees] prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. (Matthew 23:34-36)

Who, Then, are Today's Jews?

Today's Jews have no genetic link to Jacob Israel. Even today, many people call themselves "Jews" even though they are obviously black or obviously Indian. Ashkenaz was the son of Gomer. Gomer came from Japheth - not Shem. So, the largest group of today's Jews are not even Semite!

The vast majority of those who call themselves "Jews" today trace their genetic lineage to a mixed, Turkic/Mongol people called the Khazars from the 7th to 10th century AD. As Christianity grew to their the north and west, and Islam gained to the south and east, the Khazars converted, as a people, to Judaism to avoid (among other things) trade among the increasingly warring faiths.

It is claimed that the term "Ashkenaz" is derived from the medival Hebrew name for the region of Germany. If today's Jewry applied this logic to the term "Jew", however, they would find themselves having to answer a number of uncomfortable questions concerning their genetic heritage. After all, we find that "Britain" means "Covenant Land" in "medieval" Hebrew. "British" means "Covenant Man" in "medieval" Hebrew. Even the corruptions of the Hebrew tongue confirm the true identity of Covenant man today.
