Interacial Marriage and MiscagenationWhat once seemed so radical to many Americans is now commonplace... the steady flow of immigrants from all parts of the world is fueling a surge of interracial marriages and multiracial children. (pline.com) Ignoring all the clear condemnations against racial mixing in the Bible, it seems that today's Judeo-Christian leaders can no longer discern between what is good and what is evil (Isaiah 5:20). Here is some examples of what is readily found on the topic in mainstream Judeo-Christian media: You see, God has created all things, including the color of our skin (Genesis 1-2). We all come from the first man and woman, Adam and Eve. The apostle Paul taught the same when he declared that God created all things, that He is the Lord of heaven and earth, and that He made all nations from one man, Adam (Acts 17:24-26)( www.christiananswers.net ) One should also remember both Rahab and Ruth, Gentile women of faith; they were both accepted into the community of believers (they are even in the genealogical line of Jesus! Matthew 1:5). ( www.christiananswers.net ) ".. as a general principle the Bible doesn't prohibit interracial marriage or say that a person must only marry from his or her own racial or ethnic group." "Moses married a woman from another ethnic group (known as the Cushites) -- although it did cause some controversy (see Numbers 12:l). The judgment which fell on those who created the controversy, however, showed that they were in the wrong, not Moses (Numbers 12:9-15). Every human being is created by God; the Bible reminds us that God "from one man ... made every nation of men" (Acts 17:26 ). The Bible gives us no grounds for saying that one race is superior or inferior to any other race. We are all made in the image of God, and Christ came to "purchase men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation" (Revelation 5:9)." - Billy Graham (Said the same thing in a 1994 Charlotte Observer interview.) Sometime after Adam and Eve fell, God established a covenant with Abraham. This covenant was intended to be international in scope -- irrespective of cultural boundaries or skin color, that through Abraham's offspring ("seed") all the nations of the earth would be blessed (Genesis 12:1-4). ( www.christiananswers.net ) The apostle Paul tells us that the promised seed of Abraham was Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:16). The beauty of the ministry of Christ is that in him there are no barriers between Jew and Gentile, slave and freeman, male and female (Galatians 3:28); there is neither circumcised or uncircumcised, ww.christiananswers.net ) "Miscegenation" comes from the Latin miscere , "to mix" and genus , " kind ". The term was invented in the United States , in 1863.
One of the many differences found between the Judeo-Christian and Christian Israel doctrines is the view of interracial marriage, or miscegenation. Although the inspired Word is replete with passages condemning racial mixing, today's Christian leaders have ignored them and appeal, instead, to a few passages, which, upon inspection, do not support their assertion that Yahweh has somehow changed His mind. We can't afford to be wrong concerning our Creator's view of racial mixing, because the prophets affirmed interracial union is a sin and an abomination, as we will shortly see. In fact, interracial marriage is symptomatic of a curse, because it creates a situation where Israel is controlled or ruled over by a stranger, or – worse – causes Israel to turn away from her God. This is an uncomfortable topic, because our people have been profoundly in error and disobedience. Although examining this issue will bring forward questions that must be answered in our faith, we do this not only out of love for our God, but love for His people, whom we are to bless. Today, the existence of the problem (and our indifference to it) is inarguable: We are now approaching the 31st year of the Loving decision and views on interracial marriage have improved . In 1991 a Gallop Poll found that, for the first time, more people in the United States approved of interracial marriages (48%) then disapproved (42%). Also the number of interracially married couples in the United States has gone from 150,000 couples in 1970 to 1.1 million in 1994 and the number of children born out of interracial marriages jumped from 460,300 in 1970 to 1.9 million in 1994. Furthermore, a Gallop Poll indicates acceptance for interracial marriages is growing. Sixty-one percent of White Americans are more likely to approve of such marriages today, compared to 4% in 1958.8 In addition, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, one in fifty marriages are interracial which is four times the number compared to 1970. ( Interracial Marriages and the Effects on Children Annotated Bibliography , Nacy John Alouise , The University of Dayton School of Law, 1998) We will look at the biblical and historical evidences that Israel was never allowed to mix with other peoples, and that it is the Will of our Creator that all peoples must remain distinctive and separate. We will also investigate common objections made by mainstream Christian leaders.
In the Israel 101 series (available for download in the MP3 format) an examination was made regarding how Israel is to interact with strangers and sojourners (whom we call “minorities” today.) In the land where Israel dwells, there shall be one law applicable to both Israel and its strangers and sojourners: Exodus 12:49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you. Leviticus 24:22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 19:33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. So, whatever law Israel is under, it must be applied to its strangers in the land. What was the law regarding racial mixing between Israel and dissimilar – or forbidden – peoples living in the land? Although it is not taught from the pulpits today, it is found in the 7 th commandment: Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery! … Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness. Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her. And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am YHWH. Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination…(Leviticus 18:19 -22) But isn't this a commandment dealing with idoltry? Let's examine this closely. Quoting from an excerpt from Ted Weiland's upcoming book, Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery : This verse is typically interpreted as a prohibition against idolatry. But why would a statement about idolatry, specifically child sacrifice, be included in a chapter devoted to sexual interdictions? Perhaps this prohibition is not out of place after all, provided it is translated and interpreted correctly....“Molech was the national deity of the Ammonites, one of several lineages with whom the Israelites were forbidden to intermarry, is the final clue in discovering the correct interpretation of this prohibition. Passing one's seed to Molech is a Hebrew idiom prohibiting forbidden-lineage-relationships.” Pastor Weiland goes on to quote supporting opinions from Peake's Commentary on the Bible, the Encyclopedia Judaica and The Jewish Encyclopedia , which references the Book of Jubilee (which was written between 135 and 105 B.C): The book of Jubilees 30:7ff. connects intermarriage or rather the marrying off of one's children to pagans [non-Israelites] with the sin of Moloch. …The prohibition of Moloch … the impregnation of a pagan woman, an interpretation lying behind the Syriac translation in Leviticus 18 and 20. The common denominator of all these traditions is the understanding of Moloch worship as the transfer of Jewish [Israelite] children to paganism either by delivering them directly to pagan priests or by procreation through intercourse with a pagan woman. This tradition, which could hardly be an invention, is now corroborated by the evidence in the Assyrian documents …If there is any man in Israel who desires to give his daughter or his sister to any man who is of the seed of the [non-Israelite] Gentiles, he shall surely die … for he has committed a sin and a shame in Israel …. Canaan , Moab , and Ammon were forbidden lineages (Leviticus 18-21) because of incestuousness. But, quoting Pastor Weiland again: “Israelites were permitted to marry other racially alike non-Israelites. The Midianites, for example, were not Israelites, but because they were descendants of Abraham, they were not included in the Leviticus 18:21 prohibition.” Never addressed from the pulpit today is the clear understanding Ezra had of the law. In presenting their argument that racial intermixing was never a problem for Israel , and in their implying that it is “racist” to hold to a biblical view on the topic, the following passages are never dealt with: The people of Israel , and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands…. Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons … that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever. (Ezra 9:1-12) We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land…. Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law. (Ezra 10:2-3 ) Ezra was so distressed at the state of Israel after their return from Babylon , that we read the following: And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? for we have forsaken thy commandments, Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness. Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave [it] for an inheritance to your children for ever. And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities [deserve], and hast given us [such] deliverance as this; Should we again break thy commandments, and join in affinity with the people of these abominations? wouldest not thou be angry with us till thou hadst consumed [us], so that [there should be] no remnant nor escaping? (Ezra 9) Quoting the prophet Nehemiah: Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude . (Nehemiah 13:3) The phrase “the mixed multitude” is translated from the Hebrew word =K*v=m*u< ( `ereb ). ` Ereb is defined by James Strong: Lexicon Results for `ereb (Strong's 06154) …The web (or transverse threads of cloth); also a mixture, (or mongrel race ). 21 What happened among these Israelites, who had returned out of Babylon , when they heard the law? …Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives? …Thus cleansed I them from all strangers …. Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever. (Ezra 9:12)
I was unable to find anywhere an apologetic from mainstream “Christian” leaders on how this apparent conflict is harmonized with their “one blood” doctrine. This is shameful! Do not miss this important point: Another very serious problem in Judeo-Christianity is their assertion that today's Jews are characterized as the “Chosen People” by virtue of the fact that they have maintained an unbroken genetic link all the way back to Jacob/Israel: If racial purity (however unproven) characterizes a people as the covenant people, why is it also maintained that there was never a requirement to maintain racial distinctiveness within Israel to begin with? Why do today's Christian leaders fail to point out the their presumed “Chosen People” view miscegenation as sin? As we proved in the Israel 101 series, in occupied Palestine today, antichrist Israel disallows the marriage of a “Jew” to a “Gentile.” Nevertheless, there are racially black Jews, Oriental Jews and Indian Jews that claim to be part of the Covenant people, Israel! This fantastically apparent common-sense combover is completely ignored in Judeo-Christianity, and stands alone as proof that today's "Jews" cannot be Israel. Yahweh's prohibition against race-mixing is a commandment that exposes them for what they are: mixed peoples and imposters.
A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD. (Deut 23:2) And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod , and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines. (Zec 9:6) Lexicon Results for mamzer (Strong's 04464) 1) bastard, child of incest, illegitimate child a) bastard b) mixed population (fig.) c) born of a Jewish father and a heathen mother or visa versa It is interesting that today's presumed “Chosen People” understand this: There are two related worries: intermarriage and illegitimacy. Children of marriages forbidden by Jewish law, or halacha (for example, unions between a kohen and a divorcee, between close relatives, or between a man and a previously married woman who did not undergo a halachic divorce) are considered mamzerim . They and their offspring, stigmatized with an irrevocable brand of illegitimacy, may marry only other mamzerim. A split in the nation, the argument goes, will follow: mamzerut will increase dramatically and it will be difficult to keep track of mamzerim to ensure they do not wed non-mamzer Jews. The Jewish Week (article by Mazie, Steven V. 04/28/2006 ) It is clear, from the Inspired Word alone, that Israel is: Commanded to stay racially pure It is an abomination to Yahweh to marry outside our people with very serious consequences for the transgression
Here is the $1M question: Do we find anywhere, in the inspired Word, that this law to remain racially pure is no longer in affect in the New Covenant? What biblical proof do we find that Ruth and Rahab were either non-semetic or from a forbidden lineage? Unfounded assertions like this are often left unpondered by well-meaning believers.
Today's Judeo-Christian leaders teach that there is no difference between races, and that racial intermarriage is acceptable. The Bible not only does not support these teachings, it is specifically forbidden. |
